Contaminants
The proposed project will not create or discharge any hazardous materials. One 5,000
gallon tank for diesel fuel will be stored on the project site. The storage of this material
will be incorporated into our existing Hazardous Materials Management Plan.
Waste Water
Water used in the processing of aggregate material is handled at the vested Tracy
Rock plant to the west of the project site. Waste water will not enter the project site.
Noise
A noise analysis was completed by Brown-Buntin Associates, Inc. Their results
concluded that the noise produced by excavation operations at the proposed site would
be within acceptable limits as defined by applicable San Joaquin County standards,
provided that the scraper operations do not occur within 400' of the two existing
southerly residences during the nighttime hours of 10 pm to 7 am.
Traffic
A traffic analysis completed by Fehr & Peers Associates is attached for review. Their
analysis evaluated the relocation of the aggregate equipment crossing and traffic
control plan. The results determined that the relocation would not have a significant
impact on the area transportation system.
Description of Proposed Reclamation
Upon the conclusion of mining, the property will be returned to agricultural production or
agriculturally related uses, and State and County standards will be met. Reclamation
will occur concurrent with mining activities and will take place in phases. Reclamation
will be completed within two years of the completion of mining. Overburden and topsoil
will be replaced on Phase I prior to work commencing on Phase II. At the conclusion of
Phase II, all overburden and topsoil will be replaced and the property graded to its
agricultural use. The final reclaimed field will be approximately 28' below original
grade. A reclamation site plan is attached.
7
