As part of the compliance with 2009 Airport Land Use Plan the ALUC request the <br /> following design standards as conditions of approval: <br /> 1. New land uses that may cause visual, electronic, or increased bird strike hazards <br /> to aircraft in flight shall not be permitted within any airport's influence area; <br /> 2. Glare or distracting lights which could be mistaken for airport lights, reflective <br /> materials are not permitted to be used in structures or signs (excluding traffic <br /> directional signs); <br /> 3. Sources of dust, steam, or smoke which may impair pilot visibility; <br /> 4. Sources of electrical interference with aircraft communications or navigation. No <br /> transmissions which would interfere with aircraft radio communications or <br /> navigational signals are permitted; and <br /> 5. Any proposed use, especially landfills and certain agricultural uses, that create an <br /> increased attraction for large flocks of birds. <br /> 6. The project <br /> applicant has agreed to this condition and it will be included the recommended <br /> Conditions of Approval to the Planning Commission. <br /> The application has been tentatively scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting on <br /> November 17, 2011. The Community Development Department has reviewed Use <br /> Permit application PA-0800005 and, pending any outstanding issues, will be <br /> recommending that the Planning Commission approve the application subject to the <br /> following conditions of approval: <br /> Use Permit Application No. PA-0800005 was approved by the Planning Commission <br /> on .
