Project Description
Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station Expansion
30703 S. Mac4rthur Drive, Tracy, CaltIbmia 95377
%boo feet. A secondary expansion is proposed to add approximately 19,200 square feet
(Phase 2 addition) to the northern side of the building, which will add increased area to
be divided between the Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station operations,
bringing the overall footprint of the MRF/TS building to approximately 76,600 square
feet.
Maintenance/Administrative Office Building Expansion:
The 10,920 square foot Maintenance/Administrative Office building is currently
undergoing expansion by an additional 10,500 square feet for addition of maintenance
bays and maintenance staff accommodations, for a total enclosed space of 21,420
square feet.
Construction and Demolition (CM Processing Facility:
C&D debris processing operations, including wood waste chipping and grinding, will be
established on an approximately 2.5 acre portion of the southern parcel, in two phases,
in order to process source-separated and mixed C&D and Type A clean inert debris into
reusable material.
In Phase 1, the operations will be relocated to the southern area of the site depicted on
the proposed Site Plan (Figure 2) and continue as a "floor sort" operation, utilizing
manual labor and mobile equipment to separate the debris. Phase 2 operations will
include the construction of a mechanical sort line to more efficiently process the mixed
C&D materials, providing increased design capacity — to 400 TPD of mixed C&D -- as
well as improved quality for the recovered recyclable materials.
Biomass Gasification Unit
Biomass Gasification Unit proposes to use 40 TPD of processed clean wood waste to
generate 1 mega-watt/hour of energy for on-site use.
Inert Debris Processing Operations
Inert debris processing operations will be expanded, adding onsite crushing operations
and an additional one acre operations area, to the existing stockpiling operations on
approximately .25 acre portion of the existing facility, in order to process source-
separated Type A clean inert debris into reusable material.
Infrastructure as shown on the Site Plan):
• Addition of approximately 85 truck parking spaces
• Addition of approximately 45 employee/visitor space parking area with landscaping
• Addition of paved bin and equipment storage area
• Addition of paved roadway access on southern parcel
Entry Signs:
Entry signs are posted.
