to the southeast. The scale of this photo is such that identification of close details is not
possible.
In the 1983 photo, no significant changes are apparent.
In the 1998 photo, the western structure of the chicken-ranch is o longer apparent.
The adjacent property to the west has been planted with'vineyard.;'
In the 2008 photo, an area on the western side of the Site has been planted with
orchard. A new rural residence is apparent to the south of the Site. The Site and
surroundings otherwise appear similar to the previous photo.
These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Live Oak inspected the site on October 11, 2011. Photographs of the Site are attached %
to this report as Appendix 2. The perimeter of the Site, the driveway, and all major
features visible from those vantages were inspected. The interiors of the structures
were not inspected.
The Site consists of hilly grazing land with a 46-acre area of olive orchard on the
western half. Two small lakes are located on the Site. The property is crossed by high-
voltage power lines.
A single-family residence is located by the northern lake. To the southeast of the
residence are two former chicken ranch buildings and a shop building. Fencing
supplies and other materials were observed to be stored in this area. To the west of the
chicken ranch buildings, a domestic well and a second well sealed with cement were
observed. The irrigation well was observed to the south of the chicken ranch buildings.
A small, dry pond was observed near the center of the southern side of the Site; a pump
was located in the pond.
Six pole-mounted transformers were observed on the Site. No staining was observed
on or beneath the transformers. Only one of the six was labeled with a blue sticker
indicating that it is free of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
Most properties surrounding the Site are open grazing land. A vineyard is located to the
northwest. Rural residences are located to the north and south.
LOGE1025 Page 3
