1. The height of the poles should be sized accordingly to the trees proposed so that the luminaire <br /> will be below the tree canopy but no lower than 12 feet. <br /> 2. Poles less than 15' in height should be set well back from the face of curb to prevent damage <br /> from the overhang of trucks and their side view mirrors parking adjacent to the face of curb while <br /> loading or unloading. <br /> 3. Street lights in downtown will need to be connected and wired to one of two utility meters in a <br /> single Service Pedestal where a central photocell can be installed to control the On-Off of the <br /> Town Center Street Lights. Dimmer switches will be required on Main Street. <br /> 4. Metering will also allow the use of LED Lighting Fixtures and allow flexibility, if MHCSD so <br /> decides in the future, to reduce the cost of energy and facilitate"Dimming". <br /> 5. In the same Service Pedestal for the Street Lighting Meter, a separate meter should to be <br /> installed to allow metering of the power used for"Festive" Lighting as street lights and Festive <br /> lighting are usually on separate rate schedules. <br /> 6. A separate conduit and GFI Plugs at each street light and each tree well will need to be installed <br /> at the same time as the conduits for the street lights are installed. <br /> 7. The Traffic Signal Interconnect and Communications Conduit placed along the arterials and <br /> collector roads will need to be extended and terminated at the location where the MHCSD <br /> Operations Center in the Town Center Area. <br /> 84. Consideration should be given to installation of an Electronic Bill Board at Main St and Mountain <br /> House Parkway, notifying motorist and pedestrians of events in the Town Center Area as well as <br /> notifications as needed by MHCSD.This sign should be wired to the MHCSD Operations Center <br /> 20 <br />
