Boulevard to Tradition Street. In addition, pedestrian connections would be constructed to Central <br /> r Parkway and the Central Community Park. (See Figure 4) <br /> Transit. As noted above, a 3 acre transit center is proposed north of Main Street, between the <br /> Community Commercial site and the easternmost portion of the Central Community Park. The <br /> regional bus route proposed for Mountain House would extend along Main Street from Mountain <br /> House Parkway to De Anza Boulevard and then north to the transit center. The proposed local bus <br /> route would extend along Main Street from Mountain House Parkway to De Anza Boulevard, <br /> continuing north and south along De Anza Boulevard. A local transit stop is proposed at the <br /> northeast comer of Main Street and De Anza Boulevard. Bus stop shelters are also proposed at a <br /> variety of locations within the Town Center, as warranted pursuant to the requirements of the TDM <br /> program. (See Figure 4) <br /> Parkinq. Parking in the Town Center will be available both on-street and off-street. The majority of <br /> Town Center arterials and collector streets shall accommodate street parking. However, there will <br /> be no street parking on the following roadways within the Town Center; Mountain House Parkway, <br /> De Anza Boulevard, and Main Street between Mountain House Parkway and De Anza Boulevard. <br /> Additional parking shall be provided at the rear of buildings or in parking structures. Shared parking <br /> shall be implemented wherever possible. (See Figure 9) <br /> 9. Public Services-Public Health and Safety <br /> Fire Services. Fire protection and emergency medical response services would be provided by the <br /> MHCSD. The MHCSD provides these services via an agreement with the Tracy Rural Fire <br /> Protection District(TRFPD). TRFPD in tum has a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Tracy, <br /> whereby the City of Tracy Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical <br /> response within the boundaries of TRFPD and to the Mountain House community. <br /> �. A permanent fire station to serve the Mountain House community has been constructed <br /> immediately northeast of the high school site, at the southwest corner of Mascot Boulevard and <br /> Tradition Street. An engine company with a Type I pumper engine and a three person crew has <br /> been assigned to the station. <br /> Per requirements of the MHCSD and the Master Plan,the applicant would be funding, and possibly <br /> constructing on behalf of the MHCSD, a second permanent fire station for Mountain House as part <br /> of the implementation of Specific Plan II. This facility is envisioned to be located outside of the <br /> project site, north of Byron Road, near the intersection of future Mountain House Parkway(note: <br /> this section of Mountain House Parkway will be renamed)and Central Parkway. This second fire <br /> station would be constructed at a time determined by the MHCSD to fulfill the Master Plan <br /> requirements, as well as the MHCSD's Fire Protection Plan requirements. <br /> Ambulance Service. Ambulance service would be provided by a private ambulance service <br /> company permitted by San Joaquin County. The ambulance would provide transportation to the <br /> nearest hospital emergency room or emergency care facility. <br /> Police Service. Law enforcement services would be provided by the MHCSD through an <br /> agreement with the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Department. Currently,the Sheriffs Department <br /> has an interim office located at the fire station located at Mascot Boulevard and Tradition Street, <br /> immediately northeast of the high school site. As noted above, a permanent Sheriffs facility may be <br /> constructed in the Town Center. The actual timing,and design parameters for the Sheriff's facility <br /> will be addressed in the Police Protection Plan that is currently being developed by the MHCSD and <br /> the Sheriffs Department. <br /> 7 <br />
