ENGEO <br /> INCORPORATED <br /> r <br /> We reviewed California Regional Water Quality Control Board Central Valley Region Order <br /> ` Number 97-038, Rescinding Various Waste Discharge Requirements (Order). This Order covers <br /> five sites, one of which is the Frewert Road Class III solid waste disposal site in San Joaquin <br /> County operated by Teichert Construction. The Order states that the disposal site was used starting <br /> in 1974 and ending approximately seven years later in 1981. The Order states that "available <br /> information does not indicate the site poses a threat to water quality." <br /> r <br /> We reviewed California Integrated Waste Management Board, Solid Waste Information System <br /> (SWIS). The SWIS Facility/Site Summary Details list the Frewert Road Class III Disposal Site to <br /> be located at 1601 West Frewert Road and is identified by the SWIS Number 39-AA-0021. The <br /> SWIS states that the site is owned by the Life Estate of W.J. Burchell. The SWIS lists the site to be <br /> an unpermitted and closed solid waste disposal site. <br /> r <br /> ` We requested records copies from the State of California Department of Conservation Division of <br /> Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) for the former natural gas well. <br /> Recordssupplied <br /> ` <br /> by <br /> DOGGR including a Notice of Intention to Drill New Well, Report on Proposed Operations, a <br /> Well Summary Report, a Notice of Intention to Abandon Well, and R�,r,rt_ n� f Well <br /> ., Abandonment. These reports state that a natural gas well was drilled in 1967 to a depth of <br /> approximately 8,500 feet below ground surface in the vicinity of the southeast comer of the <br /> Property by Hunnicutt & Camp Drilling Company. These reports also state that the well was <br /> plugged on December 13, 1967 and plugged with cement. A map accompanying these documents <br /> r show this well located in the southeast comer of the Property prior to the construction of Interstate 5 <br /> and Manthey Road.
