The project is <br /> located on Columbia Cut, in Township 2 North, Range 4 East M. D.M <br /> & B. , at San Joaquin County Assessor' s Parcel Number 129-080-03 & <br /> 33 , Stockton, California. <br /> The Corps of Engineers ' jurisdiction within the study areas <br /> is under the authority of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act for <br /> the discharge of dredged or fill material into waters of the <br /> United States or excavation that has more than minimal effect on <br /> the aquatic environment in these waters. Also, the Corps has <br /> jurisdiction under the authority of Section 10 of the Rivers and <br /> Harbors Act of 1899 for any structures placed on, over or under a <br /> navigable water of the United States. Project features that <br /> would occur from development within the study areas that result <br /> in the discharge of fill material into waters of the United <br /> States or any work within a Federally navigable water will <br /> require Department of the Army authorization prior to initiating <br /> work.
