The intersection LOS tables contained in this report indicate the average overall intersection delay
expressed in seconds per vehicle. Level of Service values for unsignalized intersections indicate the worst
case LOS by movement. All intersection turning movement volumes and Level of Service worksheets are
contained in Appendix A.
EXISTING INTERSECTION AND ROADWAY OPERATIONS
Using the existing traffic volumes, and capacity analysis procedures described above, traffic conditions
currently existing within the study area have been quantified. The intersection lane geometrics used for
this analysis are illustrated in Figure 2. The resulting Level of Service values are contained in Table 2.
TABLE 2
EXISTING CONDITIONS
INTERSECTION LEVELS OF SERVICE
AM Peak Hour 1 PM Peak Hour 1 Sunday Peak Hour
Control Average Average Average
Intersection Type Delay LOS 1 Delay LOS Delay LOS
Middle Road/Lammers Road Stop-Sign 1.9 A 1.3 A 1.4 A
Middle Road/Naglee Road Stop-Sign 1.6 A 1.0 A 1.0 A
i
Naglee Road/Grant Line Road Signal 11.4 B 7.5 B 7.3 B
n. The LOS indicated are worse-case LOS by movement for unsignalized intersections and average
LOS for all movements for signalized intersections.
Table 2 indicates the average overall intersection delay expressed in seconds per vehicle. Level of Service
values for unsignalized intersections indicate the worst-case LOS by movement. All intersection turning
movement volumes and Level of Service worksheets are contained in Appendix A.
PROJECT IMPACTS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proposed project consists of development on a 16-acre property contained in a single parcel. The
proposed 5 acres of project site development will consist of approximately 16,400 sq. ft. of Church
facility, parking and related grounds.
_ The primary nature of the project is described by the proposed 16,400 square feet Church facility.
Based upon discussions with the applicant, the expected maximum number of church services is two
and these services are expected to occur on Sundays between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon. During
Tuesday evening off-peak hours (7:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.), social activities (like 'Awans' Night) are
expected to generate about 30 inbound and 30 outbound vehicular trips. During Wednesday evening
off-peak hours (7:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.), social activities like Youth Group meetings are expected to
generate about 20 inbound and 20 outbound vehicular trips. The primary project driveway impacts are
expected to occur during the Sunday service hours. Currently the Church congregation meets at Tracy
West High School on Sundays and at the Grant Line Road Church on other days of the week.
