L
LFebruary 23,2006
NOA Project Number: E06008A
L2.1 Interviews
An environmental questionnaire completed by Mr.Lucas was included in the original report. Mr.Lucas
L provided a written statement on January 26, 2006,indicating that there have been no changes to the
subject property since he completed the original questionnaire. Aydee Lucas, Mr. Lucas' wife, was /
interviewed by telephone on January 26, 2006. She agreed that there have been no changes to the
property since the previous investigation. She added that some domestic trash and tires were dumped
L, on the property in November or December of 2005,but they picked them up and disposed of them.
No hazardous materials or chemical containers were observed among the trash, she noted.
L 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION
3.1 Research Methods
L
NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the
location of the subject property,a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries,
Land street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets
within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address
ranges.
3.1.1 Regional Water Quality Contra/Board
` NOA reviewed the Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST) list Qanuary 2006), the Water Purveyors
.QuarteryReport on MTBE [January 2006),and the Spills,Leaks, Investigations, and Cleanups(SL-TC)list (1" /
Quarter 2005) on file with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)Z in
an attempt to determine if there are any files present at that agency which note the unauthorized release
of a toxic or hazardous agent into the environment on the subject property or within a one-quarter mile
radius of the subject property. The subject property was not listed on any of these databases. No listed
L sites within one-quarter mile were found on the MTBE list. l
` The following sites within one-quarter mile of the subject property were found on the LUST database:
L
Parrish&Sons 3128 E.Miner Ave.
Parrish&Sons #2 3128 E. Miner Ave.
L \
Sheldon Oil 3310 E. Miner Ave.
All three cases on the LUST database are closed.
LThe following site was found within one-quarter mile of the subject property on the SLIC database:
r
` Roy's Auto Wrecking 3570 E. Miner Ave.
L2California Regional Water Quality Control Board,Sacramento,www.swrcbxa.gov.
3
L .044
L
