L
L
March 4, 2005
NOA Project Number: E00517A
L
2.0 PAST, PRESENT,AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES
L2.1 Recorded Land Title Records
LThe previous owner of the subject property was CALTrans, and prior to their ownership
I
the subject property belonged to San Joaquin County.
L
2.2 Aerial Photographs
v
Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937, 1952, 1963 and 1975 were reviewed
at the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. One additional photo, dated
2002,was obtained from Microsoft Terraserver.
LIn the 1937 photo, the subject property appears to be a vacant lot bordered on the southern edge by
railroad tracks. The land surrounding the property appears to be vacant with few scattered
i
residences.
L
In the 1952 photo, the subject property appears not to have changed. Highway 99 has been
constructed and borders the subject property directly to the west. Directly to the cast,a residence
appears to have been constructed, but due to the scale of the map it is difficult to distinguish.
Significant residential development surrounds the vicinity of the subject property.
1
In the 1963 photo, there appears to be little change to the subject property with the exception of a
i series of dirt paths or roads and scattered brush on the northern half. The land surrounding the
L subject property, however, has significantly increased in residential development.
` The scale of the 1975 photo is such that it is hard to describe in detail the character of the property.
Directly to the east it appears there is a dirt road separating the residences to the east from the
Lsubject property which connect North and South Anteros Avenue.
S In the 2002 photo, the subject property is still vacant. What appeared to be a dirt road in the 1963
L photo no longer exists.A few trees on the property have matured. The property to the east has
many mature trees making it difficult to view if there has been any change.
L These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land uses is
limited by the scale and quality of the photos.
L 3 "'44
L
