L
L
March 4, 2005
1 NCA Project Number. E00517A
L2.3 USGS Topographic Maps
The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey, Stockton
East,California, quadrangle map. The map is a 15-minute map dated 1968 was available at NOA.
LIn the 1968 map,the subject property is located withing an urban area, represented by the color
pink. The property is depicted as vacant land with a road cutting through the eastern edge and dead
ending two-thirds toward the southern end.The western edge of the subject property is bordered by
LHighway 99. Railroad tracks border closely to the southern end of the property. The property is
` elevated between 25 and 30 feet above sea level, sloping down toward the east.
L This map is included in Appendix C of this report.
` 2.4 Interviews
LAn attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject
property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental
L Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed by Mr Julio Lucas of Lucas Development.
A copy of his responses has been included in this report as Appendix E.
In his responses to the questionnaire,Mr. Lucas indicated that the subject property was previously
L owned by CALTrans, who bought the property from San Joaquin County. Mr.Lucas has owned his
property since 2003. He is unaware of any underground or above ground fuel tanks, or any
L L hazardous material spills on the subject property.
3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION
L
L3.1 Research Methods
I NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the
L location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property
boundaries, and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address
ranges for all streets within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then
L
searched for these address ranges.
L 4
L ',44
