The typical repair is add 40 foot one leach line and one 25 foot pit. This repair appears to be
common all over SJC. The higher ground has more rapid surface drainage than the lower areas in
Parcels 1-3. Parcel 4 is flat. The drainage to the west thru a culvert on Jack Tone Road has been
reduced by downstream owners moving and tilling the soil. The leach fields for Parcel 1 and
Parcel 2 are on higher ground away from the lower elevation levels. The terrain for Parcel 3
slopes higher to the south and to the east. Standard systems are expected to support single family
residences but not multiple residences. The lots are large enough to construct a system for each
residence.
GROUNDWATER INFORMATION SECTION
The water testing lab (FarWest Labs,Inc.)Does not have a chain of custody. They sample and
test. No third party was involved in the water sampling/testing.
SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION
No pits were excavated on the parcels. All soil classification is made during the drilling process.
Pits to 25 feet are required.
PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
The testing conformed to SJC Policy EHD 02-02. Forms provided by the EHD were used.
CONCLUSION SECTION
The 10 acre lots provide enough area for the leach fields and adequate future expansion area.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This study is made in conformance with the requirements of the Environmental Health
Department of San Joaquin County. The proposed subdivision contains four lots and a
remainder.Percolation tests have been completed on all four parcels to determine if the soils
present will support single family residences of unknown size.
PERCOLATION TESTS
Percolation tests commenced on March 7,2003. Testing on Parcel 3 was satisfactory All the
holes on Parcel 1 contained water to such an extent it was obvious later testing would be
required. Parcel 2 tests failed.
On April 10, 2003 Parcels 1 &2 were again tested with satisfactory results. The test holes were
drilled on higher ground, approximately 650'easterly from the centerline of Jack Tone Road.
On April 18, 2003 Parcel 4 was tested with satisfactory results at the 25' level. The residence on
2.
