(Development Title Section 9-1020) i_ The following Uniform Fre Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the Community Development Department for a building permit: (1) Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of public water mains (Appendix 111-A of the Uniform Fire Code). (2) Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix 111-B of the Uniform Fire Code. (3) Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fre Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. (4) All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire sprinkler systems and water-flow switches shall be monitored in accordance with Section 904.3.1 of the California Fire Code. (5) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with Section 902.2 of the California Fire Code and the standards adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. (6) Fire department access to buildings shall be in accordance with Section 902.4. A knox box shall be installed according to fare department instructions. (7) Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with the California Fire Code, Volume 2, Standard 10-1. (8) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or property (California Fire Code Section 1052.1).
