I
Annual Domestic Wastew`. .System Groundwater Monitoring Report
Sutter Home Winery,Lodi,CA
Page 2
SAMPLING PROCEDURES AND FIELD OBSERVATIONS
On June 24, 2002, Condor representatives were on site to measure water levels at all ten site groundwater
monitoring wells and collect groundwater samples from the three domestic wastewater monitoring wells
1. installed in response to the MRP. All down-hole field equipment was decontaminated in the field with a
solution of laboratory-grade, non-phosphate detergent and deionized water and rinsed with deionized
water prior to use in each well. All field instruments were calibrated to manufacturer recommended
1 standards. The water level in each well was measured to the nearest 0.01 foot with a battery-operated,
flat-tape, water-level meter. A new, disposable, polyethylene bailer was lowered into each well to collect
a field-inspection sample. The bailer samples were inspected for floating product, sheen, discoloration
and odor. No floating product, sheen, or odors were noted in the groundwater purged from the wells.
Monitoring wells DWS-1, DWS-2, and DWS-3 were purged with new, disposable, polyethylene bailers
until at least three well-casing volumes of water were removed and the electrical conductivity, pH, and
temperature of the water stabilized. The groundwater purged from the wells was discharged to the ground
surface.Groundwater Monitoring Field Forms completed for the work are included in Attachment B.
The groundwater samples obtained from monitoring wells DWS-1, DWS-2, and DWS-3 were collected

by filling laboratory supplied containers tamers with groundwater directly from the disposable bailers. Three
plastic.containers were filled for each well. One plastic container was preserved with sulfuric acid for the
total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN) analysis. The sample containers were labeled, placed in a cooler chilled
with ice, and delivered in accordance with chain-of-custody procedures to GeoAnalytieal Laboratories,
Inc., in Modesto, California, within 24 hours of sample collection.
GROUNDWATER ELEVATIONS
As specified in the MRP, groundwater level measurements were collected from all ten monitoring wells at
P the site. Groundwater elevation data is presented in Table 1. The water level measurements collected from
the ten wells on .lune 24, 2002, indicate a groundwater gradient to the west.
