August 29, 2004
San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: Application Number PA-0400251, "A Major Subdivision-Griffith Gate"
Dear Jennifer Jolley,
I want to voice my concern about the proposed placement of Brittany Lane in
the Griffith Gate Ranchettes between Lots 3 and 4.
The placement of Brittany Lane in Griffith Gate serves no useful purpose and
would only encourage traffic onto a dead end street and make it a very
convenient dump site.
In the future, if the Griffith Gate Brittany Lane is connected to the existing Brittany
Lane, to the east, it will not serve any useful purpose. It will only connect to
Bryant and Bryant is a dead end street. The Griffith Gate residents will not travel
across Brittany and turn left onto Bryant to access Jahant when they can just
drive directly to Jahant. Additionally, if the Griffith Gate Brittany Lane is
connected to the existing Brittany Lane it will only encourage unwanted traffic,
add noise to an otherwise quite neighborhood, and reduce the safety factor for
people walking and children playing.
The reason I live in the country is for the quite and solitude that rural living allows. I
believe that is a major part of my property's value.
Sincerely,
+
fie."/ Gs
