In the 1975 photo, the creek on the northern portion of the Site has been divided into
ponds. A small structure can be seen to the northeast of the shop (not a location of a
current structure).
In the 1983 photo, a second shop building and two smaller structures (the storage
building and silo) are visible on the Site. The smaller building to the northeast of the
northern shop (identified in the 1975 photo) is no longer present or has moved further
northeast, where a small structure can now be seen (current location of a mobile home).
In the 1998 photo, a new structure (a mobile home) can be seen to the southwest of the
southern shop building. A cleared area (the location of the active gas well) can be seen
on the western side of the Site. The object at the northwest corner is no longer
apparent.
In the 2008 photo, the new field road noted in the previous photo can no longer be
seen. No other significant changes are apparent.
These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Abigail Racco of Live Oak inspected the site on March 22, 2011. Photographs of the
Site are attached to this report as Appendix 2. The majority of the perimeter of the Site
was inspected, as well as the major features visible. The southern half of the western
property line was not inspected due to time constraints. The interiors of the structures
were not inspected.
The Site consists of open agricultural land with two ponds near the southern property
line and a wet area along the northern property line. Five pumps for irrigation water are
located on the Site, one at the northeast comer and four near the ponds in the south.
Field roads cross the property in several places. A gas well is located near the western
property line approximately two-thirds of the way up the property. Two shop buildings, a
storage building, a silo, two mobile homes, and three smaller trailers are located near
the center of the Site.
The southern shop was closed at the time of the inspection and was labeled with a sign
indicating it is a "poison storage area." Five drums were located on the northeast side
of the shop on a paved area under the overhanging roof. Two drums contained
Chevron 1000 THF hydraulic fluid, two contained Delo 400 Multigrade oil, and one
contained Chevron Rando hydraulic fluid. Four unlabeled 2.5-gallon buckets were also
located in the area; the adjacent wood and concrete showed some oil staining. On the
opposite corner of the shop, several open containers of oil or oil mixtures were
observed. The largest of these appeared to be the bottom third of a 55-gallon plastic
LOGE 1115 Page 3
