closed and that the duplicate listing on GeoTracker is an artifact of having
information from two programs feed into the GeoTracker system; she indicated
that she will work to have the second listing changed to a status of "closed."
The following documents available from GeoTracker appear pertinent to the
current investigation:
• Limited Subsurface Investigation Report prepared by Advanced
GeoEnvironmental (AGE), dated August 7, 2008. The report describes
the excavation of 13 soil borings for the collection of soil and grab ground
water samples. Locations B3 through B6, B8, B9, B11, and B12 were
located on the Site of the current investigation. Dicamba was detected in
sample 136-3 (three feet depth) at a concentration of 0.002 mg/kg.
Dinoseb was detected in samples 136-3, 68-1, and 138-3 at concentrations
of 0.005 mg/kg, 0.039 mg/kg, and 0.029 mg/kg, respectively. No ground
water samples were collected on the Site of the current investigation.
Those collected on the adjacent land to the west were found contain 1,3-
dichlorobenzene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, diuron, 2,4-
D, and dicamba. AGE concluded that "the eastern portion of the
property... is safe to begin redevelopment."
• October 2008 letter from Regional Water Quality Control Board: "Review
of Limited Subsurface Investigation Report, Trinkle & Boys." The letter
states that 2,4-D, dicamba, and dinoseb were detected in the soil of the
Trinkle & Boys property and concludes that "the portion of the property
that you wish to develop with residential units does not contain pesticide
residuals in soil that would impede residential development." Based on
detections of 1,3-dichlorobenzene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,4-
dichlorobenzene, diuron, 2,4-D, and dicamba in grab groundwater
samples (west of the current Site), the Regional Board recommends the
installation of three groundwater monitoring wells.
• Quarterly Report — First Quarter 2010 prepared by AGE, dated March
2010. This report discusses the testing results from a February 2010
sampling event at three monitoring wells AGE previously installed on the
Trinkle & Boys property, west of the current Site. The report also appears
to summarize previous sampling events, though the language is unclear.
It concludes that "analytes were not reported above laboratory reporting
limits in any of the ground water samples collected during the November
2009 sampling event, for a total of four sampling events."
• September 2010 letter from Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board, Monitoring Well Destruction Work Plan. This letter states that
"organophosphate pesticides, carbamates, urea compounds, and volatile
organic compounds were not detected in any of the three monitoring wells
in any of the four quarters" of monitoring. It concludes that "additional
LOGE 1506 8
