The western half <br /> of the property appears to be planted with orchard. The subject property and its immediate vicinity <br /> remain agricultural land. <br /> In the 1983 photo, the entire subject property appears to be orchard, with the exception of the <br /> existing residences. Surrounding land remains agricultural. <br /> These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey,Vernalis, <br /> California, 7.5 minute Series (topographic) quadrangle map. No maps of the Vernalis quadrangle <br /> were available at NOA Environmental or the Cesar Chavez Central Library in Stockton. One 1989 <br /> map available from Microsoft Terraserver was reviewed. <br /> In the 1989 map,the subject property is depicted as entirely orchard. At the location of the residence, <br /> a road is shown on the map. Surrounding properties are depicted as orchards and agricultural or <br /> vacant land. <br /> This map is included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject <br /> property from the property owner or key site manager of the property. An Environmental <br /> Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed by Mr. Jim Thoming on October 9, 2003 for <br /> use by NOA for this report. A copy of the responses has been included in this report as Appendix <br /> E. All information provided by Mr. Thoming in this section has been drawn from his responses to <br /> the questionnaire. <br /> Mr. Thoming indicated that he inherited the property in 2001 from Mr. Ed Thoming,who had owned <br /> it for 50 years previously. He stated that the property has always been agricultural and that no tenant <br /> farming operations have used the property. Mr. Thoming indicated that water is provided to the <br /> property by an on-site well, and sewage disposal is provided by an on-site septic system. <br /> Mr. Thoming listed the following structures on the subject property: a home constructed in 1950, a <br /> home constructed in 1940, a shop constructed in 1950, a shop constructed in 1960, a shop <br /> constructed in 1970, a shop constructed in 1990, and an office constructed in 1980. <br /> y 6 <br />
