January 7,2004 <br /> NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER LE03-354 <br /> A paved road runs along the southern boundary of the property, and from this an unpaved driveway <br /> extends north to the farm office complex. Within this complex are the farm office, two shop <br /> buildings, and two residences. Several aboP grn,mrl crnr F� tanks includipg diesel andasoline <br /> dispenser tanks within secondary containment, were obs@I_y" in_this area. .Small pumps for <br /> equipment fueling were observed within the §hopbuwldings. <br /> Behind the diesel and gasoline tanks was a fenced area filled with used chemical drums and plastic <br /> jugs. <br /> Active farm equipment was observed to be stored south of the shop buildings, while a variety of <br /> trucks, tractors, and other equipment in disrepair was stored to the north and east of the shop <br /> buildings. Included in this area of general storage yKV ins,pies autamotivc.bAtl ij s,and above- <br /> ground storage tanks. Oil stains were observed in this area as well. _ ' <br /> A paint room was observed within the southernmost shop building, and a truck wash area was <br /> o serve munediately adjacent. <br /> Behind the trailer complex off Koster Road, additional equipment storage areas and debris piles were <br /> observed. <br /> Along the northern boundary of the property, near the center,two large debris piles were observed <br /> in an area obviously used for burning waste. One pile was of dead trees and other organic waste, <br /> while the othe�pile was of used PVC�ipes and other refuse. Two additional burn areas were <br /> observed within the orchards. <br /> 3.2 Past On-Site Sources of Contamination <br /> The following potential above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination <br /> were identified from past uses of the site: <br /> Methomyl, a Restricted Use Pesticide which is considered a potential groundwater <br /> contaminant, was applied to a portion of the subject property in 2000. <br /> • Three underground storage tanks were removed from the subject property in 1989 under the <br /> agricultural exemption. <br /> 3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination <br /> No above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from <br /> current uses of the site, except for the following: <br /> ` 13 <br />
