Levels of <br /> service are presented for each intersection approach from which movements are controlled by <br /> L stop signs;the level of service for the intersection as a whole is not defined because the major <br /> street traffic is not required to stop. The levels of service were determined using the computer <br /> program Synchro 6, which is based on the 2000 Highway Capacity Manual procedures for <br /> calculating levels of service and which is listed in the Caltrans Guide for the Preparation of <br /> Traffic Impact Studies as a commonly-used program. <br /> b The results of the existing road segment level-of-service analyses are shown in Table 4.4-3. The <br /> Florida Department of Transportation has published tables correlating peak-hour volumes of <br /> roadway segments with levels of service. For this analysis, the table titled"Table 4-6, <br /> Generalized Peak Hour Two-Way Volumes for Florida's Urbanized Areas" (Florida Department <br /> of Transportation,2002)was used. The table is included in Appendix C. <br /> Freeway weaving and ramp junction analyses were performed at the study freeway interchanges. <br /> Those analyses evaluated the effect of traffic at the intersections of on/off ramps and mainline <br /> freeway segments and determined resulting levels of service at these locations. The analysis was <br /> performed using HCS2000 computer program for the future-with-project conditions at the study <br /> locations to identify the worst-case conditions based on the projected traffic. The analyses <br /> resulted in LOS C or better for all future-with-project conditions.The analysis sheets are on-file <br /> and available for review at the San Joaquin County offices located at 1810 East Hazelton Avenue, <br /> Stockton, California. <br /> Planned Roadway Improvements <br /> r, The California Department of Transportation(Caltrans)has long-range plans to upgrade SR 132 <br /> to a four-lane freeway between 1-580 and Modesto. Interim plans may include an expressway <br /> configuration. These plans, however,are neither programmed,funded, nor designed.
