NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code. <br /> (3) Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire Code and <br /> the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and <br /> the California Electrical Code. <br /> (4) Key Boxes:A Knox box shall be installed according to the local fire department's instructions. <br /> (5) Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, Standard 10-1 of <br /> Volume 2. <br /> (6) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or <br /> property. (C.F.C. 105.2.1) <br /> 2. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS(Staff Contact Michael Callahan,468-3000) <br /> a. An encroachment permit shall be required for work within the road right-of-way. The driveway approach shall be improved in accordance with the requirements of San Joaquin <br /> County Standards R-17 prior to issuance of the occupancy permit. The fee is due and payable <br /> at the time of building permit application. The fee currently is$799.00 per 1000 gross square feet of <br /> building designated as Manufacturing in the Tracy area. A copy of the Final Site Plan shall be submitted prior to the release of building permits. <br /> e. Verification shall be obtained from the Solid Waste Division (468-3066)that this development has <br /> met the requirements of the Waste Plan Format for Development Projects. The Final Site Plan is <br /> required upon submittal of verification. <br /> NOTE: Any construction activity that results in the disturbance of at least one acre of soil shall require a <br /> State NPDES construction permit. <br /> 3. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT(Staff Contact: David Van Dyne,468-3453) <br /> a. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability study, incorporating proposed staff <br /> and customer use, which indicates that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be <br /> performed prior to issuance of building permits(Development Title Section 9-1105.2[d]). A review <br /> fee of$186.00 must be paid at the time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on-site sewage standards of San Joaquin County <br /> prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic tank practice <br /> of the EPA Design Manual for on-site wastewater treatment and disposal systems is required for <br /> each parcel.
