Our youth had a rewarding
time fishing, swimming and camping on your property. It was an exceptional kindness
for you to arrange to have a fishing guide available to instruct the boys on the finer points
of bass fishing.
Our boy scouts (ages 12-15) and cub scouts (ages 6—10) also enjoyed the'benefit of
safely exploring natural surroundings and playing on sandy beach areas around the lake
and by the San Joaquin River. Our parents went hiking with the boys and along the
hiking paths they found evidence of native animals and naturalized habitat. They learned
lessons that cannot be taught in a classroom, or learned in a book. Each and everyone felt
it was a valuable experience at the Eagal Lake Resort Area. The success of the outing can
be measured by nearly all the boys asking, "when can we come back?"
BSA Troop 21 and Pack 21, of Turlock California, are very grateful to be included
among the numerous local youth groups you have allowed into your property to use your
facilities, free of cost, for the past 20 years. I know it has been a positive experience for
many other groups as it has been for our Scouts. We appreciate your continued offers to
I
return to your property and continue our efforts to put young people in touch with the
natural environment. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Cathy Doo
Advancement Chair
BSA Troop 21, Turlock
Boy Scoots of America Troop 21 a Tax ID 770071309 ■ 2530 Mira Flores■ Turlock, CA 95380
