Power generating facilities are a <br /> conditionally permitted use in the M-2 zone and may be per- <br /> mitted subject to an approved Use Permit . <br /> AREA/NEIGHBORHOOD COMPATIBILITY: <br /> Noise : <br /> The proposed use is expected to generate noise ; however , an <br /> acoustical analysis submitted by the applicants indicates that <br /> the use will not generate noise levels in excess of 75 db Ldn <br /> at the property line (required per Section 9-3800(a) ) . <br /> Landscaping Fencing Lighting: <br /> The applicants are proposing to fence the site at the property <br /> line with an open six-foot-high chain-link fence. The Planning <br /> Title permits six-foot-high fences within the front yard set- <br /> back in this zone, provided that they are constructed of some <br /> type of open material . <br /> Nighttime security lighting will be provided. A condition of <br /> approval relative to lighting has been developed that limits <br /> the height of standards and requires all lighting to b< ' ooded. <br /> FACILITIES/SERVICES : <br /> Water Supp1Y: <br /> Potable water will be provided by the Lathrop County Water <br /> District . Process water for use in the production of steam <br /> will be obtained by utilizing approximately 500 , 000 gallons per <br /> day of by-product remediation water from Sharpe Army Depot . <br /> This source draws water from an aquifer located 50 to 300 feet <br /> in depth at well locations approximately two miles from the <br /> site . The water obtained from Sharpe consists of water drawn <br /> from remediation wells and processed with "air stripping" to <br /> remove trichloroethene, pursuant to requirements imposed upon <br /> Sharpe under the terms of the Environmental Protection Agency' s <br /> Natural Priorities List dated July 22 , 1987 , and the State of <br />
