We understand that the leach
lines are located approximately 100 feet from an existing well currently used for the duplex. We
understand that the existing leach field was uncovered and exposed for representatives of the
Environmental Health Division. According to the plans furnished to us, we understand that a
new 1,600 gallon septic tank is proposed approximately 10 feet off the northeast comer of the
proposed manufacturing %ciiity with the leach field being placed further east. The proposed
leach field will be located over 180 feet away from the existing well on the property, and
approximately 250 feet away from an existing well located on an adjacent property north and
east of the manufacturing facility.
Two existing residences are located immediately north of the proposed manufacturing facility.
The existing residence located at 3606 East Munford Avenue has been owned by Mr. Ralph
Lonich for fifteen years. Mr. Lomeli apparently lived in the residence for five years before
moving next door to 3604 East Munford Avenue, at which ume he rented the 3606 East Munford
Avenue residence to some of his workers. We note that plans indicate an existing well located
approximately 170 feet due north of the proposed new leach field. The septic system for 3606
Fast Munford Avenue is located between the existing residence and East Munford Avenue. This
residence is approximately 50 years old and we have been told that no problems have ever been
noted.
For the past ten years, Mr. Lomeli has lived in the residence located at 3604 East Munford
Avenue. We understand that the septic system for this residence is located on the west side of
the residence. This residence is approximately 35 years old and we understand that no problems
have been noted with this system either.
GROUNDWATER DEPTH AND TESTING
There is an existing well immediately due south of the duplex shown on the construction plans.
The actual location of the well on the construction plan is incorrect and is approximately 30 to 40
feet to the east- According to the "Map Of Lines Of Equal Depths To Water And Well,"
published in the Spring of 1998 by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District, the depth to groundwater at this location is between 60 to 70 feet.
We, understand that a water sample was obtained from this well and previously submitted to the
San Joaquin County Public Health services Department Environmental Health Division. The
sample was tested for the presence of DBCF and Nitrates. We understand that both test results
were below the MCL allowed by law.
rage 2 of 3
20-3233-01.M1212.0191,882
OCWber 11, 1949
Cop9
Copyright 199 Klcinfooer,Inc.
