Leach lines are between 40 and 100 feet in length and seepage
pits are between 10 and 25 feet in depth.
1.3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on the EHD file review, septic repairs in the vicinity appear to be for replacement of septic
tanks and the addition of leach lines and/or sumps. The septic repair permits can be found in
Appendix C of this report.
1.3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
In response to a SSNLS Questionnaire, Mr. Kevin Baskin indicated the proposed new building
restroom will be open 5 days per week; 24 hours per day year round. There will be up to 30
permanent employees working three eight hour shifts per day (10 employees per shift) and up to
16 visitors daily anticipated. The restrooms will consist of six sinks and six low-flow toilets. The
septic system design should be based on the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal
Standards or other engineering recommendations. Based on a useage of 15 gallons per person
per 8 hour shift as specified in San Joaquin County EHD Onsite Wastewater Disposal Standards
and the proposed usage, the facility can have a maximum daily usage of 378 gallons per day(15
Responsive■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 6 ,
