L L November 4,2005 NOA Project Number: E05135A 2.2 Aerial Photographs L Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937,1952,1963,1975 and 1983 were reviewed L. at the San Joaquin County Surveyors Office in Stockton,California.' One additional photo,dated 2002, was obtained from Microsoft Terraserver.' L In the 1937 photo, the subject property appears to be part of a larger field used for agricultural - purposes. Agricultural land with scattered rural residences is apparent to the east and south of the subject property. West and north appear to be single family residences on mostly half-acre lots. LIn the 1952 photo, the subject property and the property to the south appear barren. Residential housing can be seen surrounding the subject property. Franklin High School is present southeast of the subject property. L In the 1963 photo,the subject property and its immediate vicinity otherwise appear relatively unchanged Lfrom the previous photo. The interchange has been built from Fremont Street to Highway 99. In the 1975 photo,the subject property and lots to the immediate south of the subject property have 2- t been developed with residential housing. The immediate vicinity otherwise remains relatively r unchanged from the previous photo. In the 1983 photo,the subject property and its immediate vicinity appear relatively unchanged from the L previous photo. L In the 2002 photo,the subject property and its immediate vicinity appear relatively unchanged from the previous photo. These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land uses is L limited by the scale and quality of the photos. L2.3 USGS Topographic Maps The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S.Geological Survey,Stockton East, California,quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1968 photorevised 1987 was available at NOA, L and one 7.5 minute map dated 1989 was available through Microsoft Terraserver. In addition,a U.S. Geological Survey,Manteca,California 15 minute quadrangle map dated 1952 was reviewed. I L In the 1952, 1987 and 1989 maps, the subject property is depicted as a portion of the urban CZ development of Stockton. These maps are included in Appendix C. 1,.
