Mr. Cotta indicated there are no wastewaters generated and/or disposed of on the property other than storm water runoff and domestic sewage. He also indicated there are no activities on the property which generate air pollutants. Mr. Cotta indicated there is a farm shop, storage buildings and a modular home on the property. The structures are heated and cooled using electricity. He was not aware of any flooring, drains or walls located within the structures that are stained or emitting foul substances. To the best of his knowledge the structures do not currently or previously contain asbestos materials and lead based paint. Mr. Cotta indicated there are 1000 gallon diesel, 1000 gallon gasoline and 300 gallon propane tanks located on the property. He was not aware of inspections or testing on the tanks to determine leakage. He was not aware of any pesticides, paints or other chemicals stored or used on the property in drums, sacks, or other containers greater than 5 gallons each or 50 gallons in the aggregate. He was not aware of any spills, leaks or other releases of chemicals on the property. Mr. Cotta indicated the property is not currently or previously used for industrial purposes. Mr. Cotta indicated the land is currently and was previously used for agricultural purposes other than grazing or pasture land. He indicated that pesticides, herbicides or other agricultural chemicals have been mixed, formulated, rinsed or disposed of on the property at the farm buildings. He was not aware of any soil or groundwater analysis performed on the property to detect pesticides, herbicides or chemicals used at the site. 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION 3.1 Research Methods NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries, and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address ranges. 3.1.1 Regional Water Quality Control Board NOA reviewed the Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST) list (January 2008), the Water Purveyors Quarterly Report on MTBE(January 2008), and the Spills, Leaks, Investigations, and Cleanups (SLIC) list (1' Quarter 2005) on file with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB)4 in an attempt to determine if there are any files present at that agency which note the unauthorized release of a toxic or hazardous agent into the environment on the subject property or within a one-quarter mile radius of the subject property.
