Soil Suitability Study (MS-92-191 , Parcel Nos . 1 and 2) 3 <br /> These septic systems were installed between June 26 . 1970 and <br /> April 12 , 1989 . <br /> F.xistinK Land Use: <br /> A small portion of the 28 . 9 acre parcel involved in this Soil <br /> Suitability Study is devoted to a homesite and barn situate at the <br /> easterly boundary line and at the mid point of Parcel No . 1 and is <br /> addressed at 8005 East Peltier Road, Acampo, California 95220 as <br /> shown on the attached "Paecel Map" . The rest of the land <br /> surrounding the homesite and barn to the north, west and south is <br /> devoted to agricultural use but had no planted crops on it at the <br /> time of this study. <br /> Soil Profile Test : <br /> No water was encountered in excavating the Percolation and <br /> Soil Profile Test Holes to a maximum depth of ten ( 10) feet . See <br /> the attached "Field Percolation Data Sheet " and "Parcel Map" as <br /> well as the text of this report for the specific soil layer , <br /> character , and location details . The San Joaquin County Flood <br /> Control And Water Conservation Map entitled "Lines Of Equal Depth <br /> To Water Wells" dated Fall , 1990 shows the water to be in excess of <br /> 100 feet below the ground surface. <br /> Excavation to a maximum depth of ten ( 10) feet below the <br /> ground surface was performed for the Soil Profile investigation on <br /> Parcel No . 2 , at the location shown on the attached "Parcel Map" . <br /> The nature of the soil encountered in excavating to the 10-foot <br /> depth is noted on the Soil Profile on the "Field Percolation Data <br /> Sheet as loose brown sandy loam for the first 4 1/2 feet below the <br /> ground surface . From 4 1/2 feet below the ground surface to a depth <br /> of eight ( 8) feet the soil is noted as a hard reddish-brown loam. <br /> From eight (8) feet below the ground surface to a depth of ten ( 10) <br /> feet the soil is noted to be a whitish-gray clay. <br /> Percolation Tests : <br /> Two ( 2) percolation test holes , one ( 1 ) on Parcel No . 1 and <br /> the other on Parcel No , 2 were excavated to about a 3-foot depth. <br /> The specific location of the two (2 ) percolation test holes are <br /> shown on the attached "Parcel Map" . <br /> All percolation tests conducted were performed in accordance <br /> with the percolation test procedures outlined in the "Manual Of <br /> Septic Tank Practice" published by the Department Of Health <br /> Education And Welfare and the requirements of the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division. <br /> John J .
