No wells are depicted within one-quarter mile of the subject property. him 3.1.8 Site Reconnaissance A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on September 8, 2004. Photographs of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment checklist is attached to this report as Appendix D. The subject property was observed to be flat, roughly rectangular in shape, and planted almost tan entirely with an almond orchard. Infrastructure for flood irrigation was observed to run through the orchard. The western property line is defined by a dirt road which was once a railroad track. A primary residence (13039 S. Hwy. 99), guest house, and barn were observed at the northeast corner of the subject property. The residence on parcel 29 of the subject property(13 101 S.Hwy. 99) was observed to the south of this area. The interiors of the structures were not inspected. A 200-gallon above-ground fuel storage tank was observed near the barn. The chemical mixing 6. location indicated by Ms. Marek in the environmental questionnaire was observed; no evidence of chemical spills was observed. Minor soil staining was observed to the west of the barn. him One pole-mounted transformer was observed along the eastern property boundary. No blue PCB-free or silver retrofit stickers were observed. The transformer was white and appeared relatively new. Six additional pole-mounted transformers (all white and relatively new) were on observed near the eastern boundary of the subject property along the frontage road. Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the north of the fto subject property are a vineyard and a pallet yard (along Highway 99). To the west are orchards. To the south is an almond orchard also owned by Zottarelli Ranch. To the east is Highway 99. Two residential parcels have been carved from the southeast corner of the subject property. an Debris was observed along the property lines of these parcels, including an abandoned vehicle. Several trucks which appeared to be inoperable, including a semi-truck, were parked in t e rear law yard of one of these residences. am 10 Ion
