September 28, 2004
NOA Project Number: E04106A
` The abandoned vehicle and other debris adjacent to the subject property do not appear to pose
an immediate threat to the property.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Given the historical uses of agricultural chemicals and petroleum products on the subject
property, meaningful conclusions regarding the presence or extent of such material cannot be
determined without soil sampling and analysis.
If the property owners or EHD are concerned about the potential presence of lead-based paints
or asbestos-containing materials in the older structures on the site, a survey to detect such
` materials should be conducted.
Any ASTs or chemical drums which are to remain in use on the subject property should be stored
within secondary containment.
i.. The transformer on the subject property boundary should be periodically monitored for leakage.
Should the property owners or the EHD be concerned about PCB contamination,PG&E should
be contacted to test the transformer.
6.
Should new construction require the development of additional domestic wells, or should the
current residents be interested in determining the quality of their drinking water, EHD should
` be contacted for direction regarding possible impacts to groundwater from the agricultural history
of the vicinity.
` If there are no plans to use the sggir, t.the southwest corner of the barn in the future, it
should be abandoned under EHD oversight.
The debris pile at the southeast corner of the subject property should be periodically monitored
to insure that no hazardous substances which could potentially impact the property are disposed
at that location.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
This report was compiled as a Surface/Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject property.
This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA in no way
bus warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this investigation by those
sources.
L
13
