L <br /> L June 10, 2005 <br /> NOA Project Number: E05070A <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map,is <br /> L approximately 25 to 30 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat but located in a region <br /> Lwith a slight grade of approximately five feet per mile down to the west. <br /> According to San Joaquin Community Development Department, the Site is zoned I-L,Limited <br /> Industrial. This zone "is intended to provide for light impact manufacturing,warehousing, <br /> Lwholesaling, construction contracting,and distribution uses.Activities within this zone have external <br /> physical effects that are generally restricted to the immediate area,are compatible with surrounding <br /> uses, are conducted entirely within enclosed buildings, and have outdoor storage areas that are <br /> Lscreened. Business and professional offices may also be appropriate within this zone" (www.co.san- <br /> joaquin.ca.us, 2005). <br /> ` 1.2 Proposed Development <br /> According to information available at the San Joaquin County Community Development <br /> Department,the project consists of a site approval for a personal storage facility to be built in two <br /> phases. Phase 1 will involve 84,700 square feet of storage and a 900-square foot office.
