Past Uses of the Site
Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report
(Live Oak, 2013), the Site has been agricultural land since 1937 or earlier. The
structures on the Site appear to date to 1952 or earlier, except for the modular home,
which was constructed around 1978.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
According to the tentative parcel map prepared by Aspen Survey Company (2013),
three septic systems are located on the Site. The systems serve the main residence,
modular home, and storage/office building.
Two additional septic systems were located north of the existing modular home; Mr.
Tavares indicated that these were destroyed prior to replanting the orchard.
Proposed Septic System
According to Mr. Tavares, no new construction is planned for the Site.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Five permits related to septic systems for the Site were identified at the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department:
• July 1978 permit for new septic system at mobile home. The system utilizes a
1,200-gallon septic tank and two 70-foot leach lines. (19654)
• October 1980 permit for repair to existing septic system at mobile home. (19654)
• September 1983 permit for addition of one 80-foot leach line to existing septic
system at main house. (19654)
• September 1983 permit for new septic system at three-bedroom house (appears
to be additional mobile home to the north). The system utilizes a 1,600-gallon
septic tank, two 100-foot leach lines, and two sumps. (19654)
• October 1989 permit for new septic system at new mobile home north of existing
mobile home. The system utilizes a 1,200-gallon septic tank and three 80-foot
leach lines. (19654)
The permits are included in Appendix 4 of this report.
LOGE 1328 Page 2
