RECEIVED
JUL 0 8 2005
Community Development Dept.
22587 Burwood Lane
Escalon, CA 95320
July 6, 2005
Ms. Karla Kuhl
San Joaquin County Community Development Department
1810 E. Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205-6232
Re. Munn and Perkins Application PA-0500403(QX)
Dear Ms. Kuhl
The referenced facility routinely violates the County's noise ordinance, and has had
numerous dust violations. I therefore doubt that the surrounding community wishes to
endure even more noise and dust from a facility expansion.
To have permitted the initial accessory use to the quarry in light of a prior Condition of
Approval QX-89-2 stating that "operating practices utilized shall minimize noise" was
not only irresponsible but possibly illegal, when sound intensities can be a high as 10
to 100 times the allowable level.
Sincerely,
Ralph C. Dorward, P.E.
L
