[2] Continued.
The topography of the subject site is at an elevation of 170 feet
above MSL and relatively flat with a slight declination of the
terrain towards the Calaveras River, which is adjacent to the south
border of the subject site.
The site is bound to the north, south, east and west by
agricultural production land, primarily orchards and rangeland, and
very low density housing.
According to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
records, there has been no recorded cases of septic system failures
(repairs/additions) occurring in the study area, however, there
have been failures in the general area of the project. These
repairs/additions pertained to the installation of seepage pits or
sumps to existing systems. Other repair/additions occurred at a
single family residences for the installation of leach lines.
[3] PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF THE SUBJECT SITE
At this point in time it is our understanding that Parcel No. 1
will be improved with a single family residence. The orientation
of the house is yet to be determined, although it is assumed it
will be relatively close to the river. The proposed structure will
have to be in compliance with San Joaquin County Codes for a sewage
disposal system and a domestic water well .
[4] SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTING
Soil profile information from the drilling of domestic wells, and
the installation of septic systems in the area of the subject site
were obtained from the San Joaquin Department of Environmental
Health. Since the subject property is adjacent to the Calaveras
River, which is the watershed drain from the New Hogan Reservoir,
2
' uaLly (embul 'neatian
