�.. ,./ <br /> III . Environmental Health Division <br /> 1 . Connection to an approved public water supply system is <br /> requi red . <br /> 2. Connection to a public sewer system is required. If public <br /> sewers are not available, approval must be granted by the <br /> Lathrop City Council to allow the installation of a septic <br /> system under permit and inspection by the Environmental <br /> Health Division with the following conditions : <br /> a. Approval in writing, for the proposed sewage disposal <br /> system, from Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board and the California Department of Health <br /> Services . <br /> b. Septic system to be designed by a registered engineer. <br /> C. Must connect to public sewers when they become <br /> available. <br /> 3 . Any existing wells or septic tanks must be destroyed under <br /> permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Division. <br /> 4 . Refuse, garbage, and other solid waste material must be <br /> stored , removed and transported to an approved landfill in <br /> accordance with San Joaquin County Ordinance No. 877 and No. <br /> 1481 , Title 2 . 3 and 7 . 8 of the California Government Code, <br /> and Title 14 , CCR. <br /> 5 . If floor drains are required , they must be plumbed through a <br /> sand/oil separator and discharged to an above-ground system <br /> approved by the Environmental Health Division. This system <br /> must be designed by a registered engineer. Applicant must <br /> file an application for facility permit/waste discharge with <br /> the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central <br /> Valley Region, after the project has been approved . The <br /> application forms can be obtained from the Environmental <br /> Health Division. <br /> 6 . If hazardous material is stored on-site, applicant must <br /> register with County Office of Emergency Services. <br /> 7 . If hazardous waste is generated, applicant must obtain an EPA <br /> identification number and comply with applicable regulations. <br /> 8. Application must be made to the San Joaquin County Air <br /> Pollution Control District for the necessary air pollution <br /> permits. <br /> - 4 - <br />
