• In the 1963 photo, several objects or small structures can be seen at the location
of the gas wells on the adjacent property to the north and west (Galli area). A
total of 13 or more structures can now be seen at the central building cluster, as
well as a small orchard to the west of this area. The quality of the photograph is
poor for the building cluster at the southeast corner of the Site. One of the
adjacent properties to the east has been planted with orchard.
In the 1975 photo, a house has been built on the parcel carved from the
northeast corner of the Site. A clearing can be seen at the location of the gas
well on the east side of the Site. South of this, the labor camp building can be
seen on the east side of the Site.
In the 1998 photo, five structures can be seen at the southeast corner of the Site.
The central portion of the Site, including the former orchard near the building
cluster, now appears to be vineyard. The northern portion also appears to be
vineyard. A new house can be seen in the parcel carved from the northwest
corner of the Site.
In the 2005 photo, no significant changes are apparent.
In the 2010 photo, the field south of the labor camp on the Site has been planted
with vineyard as well.
•
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Ms. Racco of Live Oak inspected the site on September 29, 2015. Photographs
of the Site are attached to this report as Appendix 2. Mr. Marchini drove Ms.
Racco around the majority of the perimeter of the Site. The exteriors of
structures were inspected; the interiors were not. It was not always possible to
inspect the ground surface due to the presence of objects, road surfacing, and
vegetation.
The Site consists of vineyard, alfalfa field, and corn field. Two building clusters
are located on the Site, one near the center and one at the southeast corner. In
addition, a labor camp building and a gas well are located on the east side of the
site. Mr. Marchini indicated that the gas well has not produced for years, and the
labor camp building is used for storage. At the southwest corner of the Site is an
irrigation water pump and filtration station. A shed marked "high voltage," which
Mr. Marchini indicated is owned by the irrigation district, is also located at the
southwest corner. Three pole-mounted transformers were observed nearby.
Oil staining typical of agricultural properties was observed in several locations on
the ground surface at both building clusters. Mobile fuel tanks were observed at
several locations on the Site.
•
LOGE 1522 3
