B. MARKETING EVENTS Please describe the purpose of each Marketing Event and include <br /> answers to t eo owing questions: <br /> 9. Purpose: <br /> A. The"Shakespeare in the Grove" is being organized to include wine tasting as its primary <br /> focus, local artists displaying their works, and local actors performing live plays(Shakespeare or <br /> other)on an outdoor stage in our natural oak grove. This will act as a draw to bring new <br /> customers to the Winery and Lodi as a whole to not only taste our wines, but also to see the <br /> history and beauty of our historic vineyards, pasture and countryside of this appellation. The <br /> focus will remain on families;they are encouraged to bring their picnic baskets as they enjoy <br /> these outdoor plays and the appellation's surroundings. <br /> The purpose is to pair our wines with the art of live plays, local art displays, and a friendly family <br /> environment. <br /> B. Also, Music in the Grove will be organized to include wine tasting as its primary focus and <br /> local artists displaying their works, as a draw to bring customers to the Winery to not only taste <br /> our wines, but to see the history and beauty of our historic vineyards,pasture and oak grove in <br /> Lodi. The focus will be on families visiting the Appellation,the adults tasting our wines, with the <br /> children admitted at no cost. Families will be encouraged to bring their picnic baskets as they <br /> listen to the live music and enjoy the appellation's surroundings. The purpose is to pair our wines <br /> with the music and surroundings,the local art displays and friendly family environment. The <br /> goal is to introduce our wines to a new customer base that would otherwise not have experienced <br /> our wines,which will affect both direct and indirect sales. <br /> 10. Will the event be open to the public or by invitation or appointment only, <br /> Open to the public <br /> 11. How frequently will the event occur, <br /> Once a month, 6 times a year <br /> 12. What is the estimated attendance(expressed as a numerical range and an average number), <br /> Shakespeare in the Grove:100—200, average 150 people <br /> Music in the Grove: 100—300,average 250 people <br /> 13. What are the anticipated hours of the event, <br /> Spring time,Noon to 4 PM; Summertime, 3—7 PM,though these may vary by up to one <br /> hour either way. <br /> 14. Will there be amplified sound and will it be indoors,outdoor, or both; and <br /> In most cases the plays and music will be amplified and will be outdoors. We are adding <br /> a sound buffer(bails of straw)behind the staged events with the sound directed west, <br /> which is against the wind and a greater distance from any of our neighbors. <br /> 15. Will this be a for profit or a nonprofit event? <br /> For profit. <br /> FOOD SERVICE Please describe the food service for each Marketing Event including: <br /> 16. What type of food will be served <br /> This will depend on the caterer,though I will focus on a caterer with the ability to Bar B <br /> on-site. <br /> 17.
