./ ..i
rFAppESCRIPTION
endix
erty assessed for this study was outlined by Mr. Noceti and is found in
omprises eight acres and consists of nine lots. The outline of the property
isting fences that encompass the subject property. This report does not address
areas associated with the subject property lying outside this existing fenced area. This includes
an easement, which is not a part of this assessment, at the north end of the subject property (APN
175-18-11). The easement allows access to Parcel 12 of APN 175-20-12, which is part of the
subject property. Therefore, this Environmental Assessment and investigation only addresses the
property contained within the surrounding fence lines, and the southernmost property line, which
is not fenced.
It is our understanding the exact property boundaries are to be surveyed by the Civil Engineering
firm of Wong Engineers, Inc. The applicable APN maps reveal that two of the subject lots,
namely Lots 1 and 2 extend under Interstate 5. Apparently this land was deeded to the State of
California for the Interstate 5 right-of-way.
Potential wetland areas associated with the Walker Slough(also known as French Camp Slough)
which traverses near the southwest corner of the subject property are also not addressed in this
study. Any wetlands determinations must be conducted by a wetlands biologist. In compliance
with the above-referenced evaluation parameters as outlined in the San Joaquin County
Development Title, this report also does not address or quantify: noise pollution, air pollution,
traffic studies, endangered species, flooding potential, water quality of the Walker Slough, nor
oak tree preservation.
INVESTIGATIVE METHODS
This Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report and subsurface investigation were done
through the following investigative methods:
O American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM): Standard Practice for Environmental Site
Assessments (E 1527-00) uses "reasonable ascertainable" State and Federal government records
and databases to locate and document sites that may have the potential to impact the subject
property. These databases were obtained from EDR- Environmental Data Resources, Inc. of
Southport, Connecticut and used to complete the environmental assessment portion of this report.
® Aerial Photographs from 1957, 1970, 1982, 1994 were used to determine, as best as possible.
past land uses on the subject property, including agricultural production.
OO Interviews were conducted with Mr. Tony Noceti, Mr. Jim Rose and Mr. Rex Whorton, all of
who have lived near the subject property their entire lives. Additionally, Mr. Robert McClellon
of the Environmental Health Department was also interviewed concerning the aforementioned
defunct World Enterprises Landfill.
Page-2-
Chamey Consulting
