February 11, 2005 NOA Project Number: E04146A 2.2 Aerial Photographs Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1940,1952,1963,1975 and 1983 were reviewed at the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton,California. One additional photo,dated 1993, was obtained from Microsoft Terraserver. In the 1940 photo, two structures, several smaller sheds or outbuildings, and one enclosure such as a pen or fenced yard are apparent at the northwest corner of the.subject property. A road or irrigation canal appears to cross.the property east-west near the center of the land. To the north of the road,the land.appears to be mostly uncultivated,and a wetland area is apparent. To the south of the road,a large wet area is apparent;the remainder of the property south of the road appears to be used for row crops. The Mokelumne River is apparent to the north of the property. Surrounding.properties appear to be agricultural,with one small cluster of structures across the river to the north. In the 1952 photo, the wet areas noted in the.previous photo are no longer so pronounced. With the exception of the residential area, the entire parcel now appears to be row crop land. In the 1963 photo,a new structure is apparent in the location of the current secondary residence on the subject property. A clear driveway now runs to the cast of the structures. A new residential area is apparent to the immediate west of the subject property. The property and surrounding properties otherwise remain relatively unchanged from the previous photo. The scale of the 1975 photo is such that it is not possible to make statements about the arrangement of the structures on the property. The road or,irrigation canal crossing the property is no longer apparent. The property and surrounding properties otherwise remain relatively unchanged from the previous photo. In the 1.983 photo,the southernmost of the structures on the subject property identified in the pervious photos is no longer apparent.
