Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report <br /> (Live Oak, 2012), the Site has been agricultural land since 1940 or earlier. Many of the <br /> structures on the Site also date to 1940 or earlier. The shop was constructed in the <br /> 1970s or early 1980s, and the packing shed was constructed in the 1980s or 1990s. An f <br /> additional building cluster was located on the western side of the Site from 1940 or <br /> earlier until its removal in the 1980s or 1990s. <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> According to the vested tentative map prepared by Kjeldsen, Sinnock, Neudeck (KSN; <br /> 2011), three known septic systems are located on the Site. These systems serve the <br /> packing shed, the farm labor housing area, and the shop area. <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> No new construction is planned for the Site at this time. However, County regulations <br /> permit a primary residence and a second dwelling unit to be located on each numbered <br /> parcel. Any new residences would utilize new septic systems. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> Ten permits related to septic systems for the Site address were identified at the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department: <br /> • February 1991 permit for new septic system at packing shed. The system <br /> utilizes two 1,200-gallon septic tanks and five 100-foot leach lines. <br /> • December 1970 permit for new septic system at McDonald Island Ferry Tender <br /> Residence. The system utilizes a 1,200-gallon septic tank, one 40-foot leach line, <br /> and a drainage sump. <br /> • January 1981 permit for new septic system at labor camp (Camp 21). The <br /> system utilizes a 2,400-gallon septic tank and five 100-foot leach lines. <br /> • April 1981 permit for new septic system at trailer north of labor camp. The system <br /> utilizes a 1,200-gallon septic tank and two 90-foot leach lines. <br /> • January 1979 permit for new septic system at office. The system utilizes a 1,200- <br /> gallon septic tank and one 100-foot leach line. <br /> • January 1979 permit for new septic system at mobile home. The system utilizes <br /> two 1,600-gallon septic tanks and a 30 by 60-foot filter bed. <br /> • January 1979 permit for new septic system at shop. The system utilizes a 1,200- <br /> gallon septic tank and a 90-foot leach line <br /> • December 1974 permit for new septic system at house (Camp 22).
