California Tank Lines, Inc. <br />October 19, 2016 <br />Page 4 <br />Corrective action: Cal Tank Lines must immediately remove/cleanup spilled wastes at <br />the facility, and properly dispose of the waste residuals from cleanup activities. Within <br />15 days of receipt of this SOV, Cal Tank Line must submit the photographic evidence <br />and a detailed plan to DTSC that describes that action(s) taken or planned, including <br />but not limited to training facility personnel, to prevent the reoccurrence of this violation. <br />Violation #6 <br />On or about September 29, 2016 Cal Tank Lines violated California Code of Regulation <br />title 22 section 66265.192 in that it failed to conduct tank assessments on the following <br />tanks including ancillary equipment such as , but not limited to sumps, pumps and <br />piping: <br />➢ Cone-shaped tank in the wastewater treatment area, which was recently installed <br />➢ Oil skimmer tank in wash rack <br />➢ Used oil tank in the lube shop recently installed <br />➢ Used oil tank in wash rack by the oil skimmer <br />➢ The pH neutralization tanks known as Tank Nos. 1, 2 and 3 in wastewater <br />treatment system <br />Corrective action: Cal Tank Lines must immediately conduct a complete tank <br />assessment for the tanks mentioned -above which is certified by an independent <br />professional engineer registered in California. Within 30 days of receipt of this SOV, <br />Cal Tank Lines must submit the evidence and the detailed plans to DTSC that describes <br />that action(s) taken or planned, including but not limited to training facility personnel, to <br />prevent the reoccurrence of this violation. <br />Violation #7 <br />On or about September 29, 2016 Cal Tank Lines violated California Code of Regulation <br />title 22 section 66262.31-32 in that Cal tank Lines stored hazardous waste in the drums <br />and containers not labelled as "Hazardous Waste" and with accumulation start date, <br />generator name and address, contents, hazards and physical state, in the following <br />instances: <br />➢ two 55 -gallon drum containing oil and gasoline filters in the drum storage area <br />near wastewater treatment system <br />➢ one 5 -gallon drum containing used oil, near the door to the wash rack. <br />
