California Tank Lines, Inc. <br />October 19, 2016 <br />Page 5 <br />Corrective action: Cal Tank Lines must immediately correct the violation by labelling <br />the tanks and containers containing hazardous waste, with required hazardous waste <br />labels. Within 15 days of receipt of this SOV, Cal Tank Line must submit the photo <br />evidence and the detailed plans to DTSC that describes that action(s) taken or planned, <br />including but not limited to training facility personnel, to prevent the reoccurrence of this <br />violation. <br />Violation #8 <br />On or about September 29, 2016 Cal Tank Lines violated California Code of Regulation <br />title 22 section 66265.173 in that Cal tank Lines stored one 5 -gallon drum containing <br />used oil, near the door to the wash rack. At the time of the inspection, the container <br />was open and full of used oil and was not in the process of being filled or drained. <br />Corrective action: Cal Tank Lines must immediately correct the violation by keeping <br />the hazardous waste in the containers kept closed unless removing or adding waste. <br />Within 15 days of receipt of this SOV, Cal Tank Line must submit the evidence and the <br />detailed plans to DTSC that describes that action(s) taken or planned, including but not <br />limited to training facility personnel, to prevent the reoccurrence of this violation. <br />Violation #9 <br />On or about September 29, 2016 Cal Tank Lines violated California Code of Regulation <br />title 22 section 66265.16 in that Mike Ellis, the primary emergency coordinator of Cal <br />Tank Lines does not receive any training. <br />Corrective action: Cal Tank Lines must immediately correct the violation by providing <br />training to all the employees who involve in hazardous waste management. Within 15 <br />days of receipt of this SOV, Cal Tank Line must submit the detailed plans to DTSC that <br />describes that action(s) taken or planned, including but not limited to training facility <br />personnel, to prevent the reoccurrence of this violation. <br />Currently, DTSC staff is preparing an inspection report, which will be sent to Cal Tank <br />Lines describing the findings of the inspection once the report is finalized. <br />
