with factory slotted 0.010 inch screen. Well screens
will be 15 feet in length and installed with approx—
mately five feet of screen above the water table.
These wells will be developed bysurge block and pumping.
2 . Obtain water and product level measurements. All wells
will be surveyed to determine casing elevations. Wells "
will be sounded to determine water elevation and pro—
duct elevations, if any, in order to determine the
direction of groundwater and product flow.
3. Sample the three monitoring wells. At least 24 hours
after completion of the monitoring wells, immediately
after water and product elevations are determined,
all three wells will be sampled with a bailer for
product. If no product is present, the wells will be
purged and water samples collected. Samples will be
analyzed for volatile aromatics (EPA 602), poly—
nuclear aromatics (EPA 610), phthalate esters
(EPA 606), and total hydrocarbons (by GC/FID). Bailer
and analytical results will determine the presence of
both free product and water contamination, thus
producing an estimate of the extent of product and
ground water contamination.
After completion of the above tasks, a report will be submitted
presenting all data, conclusions, and proposals for additional
work.
11
