This task will
be initiated concurrently with the facility process evaluation to
effect discontinuence of surface impoundment in the shortest
possible time frame . Construction management and start-up
performance monitoring will be provided to ensure meeting the City
of Lodi ' s pretreatment permit conditions .
Task 5 - Surface Impoundment Assessment —X110
Overhead/Lodi Door intends to discontinue use of the surface
impoundment. Before full closure of the surface impoundment is
initiated, an initial Phase I assessment of groundwater beneath
the pond will be conducted. This assessment will provide
information for preparation of a full closure plan . The elements
of this Phase I study are outlined in the following sub-tasks:
Sub-Task 5.1 - Groundwater Monitoring
To assess the surface impoundment impact on groundwater , 3
monitoring wells will be completed, developed and sampled. Using
information from the RWQCB and DHS, one monitoring well will be
located upgradient with respect to the surface impoundment, and 2
downgradient. The proposed locations will be reviewed with the
RWQCB and DHS before mobilization. The monitoring wells will be
