SANJOAQUINEnvironmental Health Department <br /> -C 0UN 'i Y- - <br /> Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 1/1/2019 to <br /> 9/1 N2019 for COHBWMPSB located at <br /> LITTLE POTATO SLOUGH <br /> Activity Date Recorded by <br /> 4:12 PM - Received a call from SJC Deputy Bryan Merritt(209-456-6027)who <br /> stated he did not observe a sheen on the water, a 5,000 gallon tank about 50% full <br /> of old oil is on board, and there is no fuel on board. <br /> 4:18 PM - END. <br /> 5:30 PM -Called Pollution Specialist Raymond and was answered by Chief <br /> Andrew Christopherson, the other Pollution Response Specialist traveling to the <br /> incident location. Andrew stated he would be the point of contact for this incident. <br /> Andrew stated his ETA to the site was 45 minutes. <br /> 5:36 PM - END. <br /> 6:42 PM -Called Chief Christopherson, who stated he had not yet talked to the <br /> vessel owner and requested I call him back in about one hour. <br /> 6:48 PM - END. <br /> 7:36 PM - Received a call from Chief Christopherson, who stated oil and oily <br /> waste is on board and the vessel owner is continuing to pump water out of the <br /> vessel to prevent it from sinking completely. He does not observe sheen on the <br /> water at this time, but he states that it is possible that oil could have entered the <br /> water. Per Christopherson, the Coast Gaurd to hire a contractor to remove as <br /> much hazardous materials as feasibly possible from the vessel, starting tomorrow <br /> morning. Christopherson stated he was in contact with a Fish and Wildlife (FWS) <br /> Office of Spill Prevention & Response (OSPR) Warden regarding the complaint, <br /> however he did not have the Warden's contact info at this time. Per <br /> Christopherson, the local FWS OSPR Warden are currently not available to visit <br /> the site due to another emergency in Lake Tahoe Christopherson to contact me <br /> tomorrow morning when the removal of hazardous waste/material from the vessel <br /> begins. <br /> Documented complaint narrative. <br /> 8:00 PM - END. <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
