Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Evaluation Page 4
U of P-Golf Practice Facility Expansion
6301 West Eight Mile Road
Stockton, California
May 13, 2019 CTE Job#25-0711 G
properties resulted in a 1998 septic permit for the maintenance building located on the
property approximately 300 feet south of the proposed leach field. No leach field
replacement or other problems were indicated for that facility. As indicated above, the
permit indicates 15 people are typically employed at the maintenance facility and the
nitrate contribution from the existing leach field is included in the nitrate calculation
below. Based on a search of the area within a 2000 foot radius of the site (using the
California Water Boards GAMA Groundwater Information System
(https://gamagroundwater.waterboards.ca.gov/gama/ amp/public/) indicates three
wells to be present. Information regarding nitrates detected in each of these wells is
included in the table below.
TABLE 1
NITRATES IN GROUNDWATER AT NEARBY WELLS
Well Number Results Chemical Date
03N05E36M002M 0.7 mg/1 NO3N 3/17/1965
03N05E35KOO1M 0.54 mg/1 NO3N 7/9/1976
02N05E02AOOIM 0.63 mg/1 NO3N 6/10/1976
AVERAGE = 0.623 mg/1 NO3N
5.0 FIELD INVESTIGATION
The field investigation was conducted on April 24, 2019 and July 23, 2019 and included
geologic reconnaissance, a groundwater boring, and a percolation test boring. The
groundwater boring was drilled to maximum depth of approximately 15.0 feet using 4.0-
inch diameter solid stem-auger and the percolation test hole was dilled to a depth of 36-
inches using 6-inch diameter solid stem-auger. Groundwater observations were made in
the holes during drilling and after completion.
Soils were logged using the Unified Soil Classification System including consistency,
color, texture, and gradation, on the bases of drill penetration resistance and observation
^, enc
