The <br />generator must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency <br />procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and emergencies. <br />At time of inspection, employees who handle hazardous waste were not familiar with the stores hazardous waste handling <br />procedures or emergency procedures. It was not demonstrated to the inspectors that hazardous waste management <br />procedures had been provided to employees at this facility. When the Store Manager was asked if she had this training she <br />stated "I read the poster." apparently referring to the PSC poster hanging next to the hazardous waste storage area. <br />Within 30 days, submit copies of hazardous waste training records for employees at this location. Include <br />topics covered during this training. Immediately implement a training procedure for all employees who <br />handle or respond to hazardous waste incidents and submit a copy of the procedure to this office. <br />Violation #60 -Failed to keep signed TSDF copy of manifest for 3 years 66262.40(a) CCR. <br />Violation #63 -Failed to keep a copy of the consolidated manifest for 3 years 25160.2 HSC. <br />Violation #85 -Failed to keep records of each shipment of UW according to this section 66273.39 CCR. <br />At time of inspection, copies of hazardous waste manifests, consolidated manifests and records of shipment of universal <br />waste for the previous 3 years could not be provided. Hazardous waste generators must maintain TSDF copies of hazardous <br />waste manifests, consolidated manifests, and shipping records for UW for a minimum of 3 years and have them readily <br />available for review. <br />Within 30 days, submit copies of all hazardous waste disposal records for the past 3 years, including TSDF <br />copies of hazardous waste manifests, consolidated manifests, bill of ladings, and shipping records, to this <br />office. <br />Violations #83 -Failed to properly label universal waste (UW) 66273.34 CCR. <br />Universal waste alkaline batteries are not labeled pursuant to regulations. <br />Immediately, manage all universal waste pursuant to 66273.34 CCR for future storage. <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME ATE 'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EHD Inspector: <br />ReI <br />TlR 'UqU(k <br />Title: <br />L11 <br />MrZe � <br />EH9-23- 2Rev08/10/10 / 1 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
