March 2, 1999 <br /> NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER E99042 <br /> V. HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION <br /> A. Aerial Photographs <br /> Aerial photographs depicting the subject property dated 1937, 1952, 1963, 1975, and 1983 were <br /> reviewed at the San Joaquin County Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. <br /> The 1937, 1952, and 1963 aerial photographs depict the subject property as either pasture land or <br /> planted in agricultural crops. Adjoining property to the north is depicted in these photographs as <br /> agricultural land and orchard. Adjoining property to the east is depicted in these photographs as <br /> agriculture land and supporting a residence along Highway 120. Adjoining property to the south is <br /> Highway 120, beyond which is agricultural land in the 1937 photograph. The 1952 and 1963 <br /> photographs depict a dairy farm and pasture land to the south of the subject property. Adjoining <br /> property to the west is Henry Road, beyond which is depicted as agricultural land in all of the <br /> photographs. <br /> The 1975 and 1983 aerial photographs depict the subject property as supporting an orchard. <br /> Adjoining properties to the north and east are orchards. The residence depicted in the earlier <br /> photographs remains to the east of the subject property along Highway 120. Adjoining properties <br /> to the south and west are basically unchanged from the previous photographs. <br /> B. USGS Topographic Maps <br /> Topographic maps published in 1953 and 1968,that depict the subject property were reviewed at the <br /> California State Library in Sacramento, California. <br /> The USGS Escalon, California 7.5 minute quadrangle,edition of 1953,depicts the proposed project <br /> site as undeveloped land located in an area approximately 145 feet above mean sea level. Adjoining <br /> property to the north is undeveloped land. Adjoining property to the east supports one residential <br /> structure, and the remainder of the land to the east is depicted as undeveloped land. Adjoining <br /> property to the south is Highway 120,beyond which are two structures. Adjoining property to the <br /> west is Henry Road, beyond which is undeveloped land. <br /> The USGS Escalon,California 7.5 minute quadrangle,edition of 1968,depicts the proposed project <br /> site as supporting an orchard.
