ANALYTICAL METHODS
Soil and ground water samples will be analyzed by Precision Environmental Technology
(PET) of Stockton, CA. All samples will be analyzed via approved EPA Methods for
TPH, BTEX, MTBE, Total Lead and VOCs as summarized below in table 1 below:
cOcs EPA Method Number Comments
1. FIELD QUALITY CONTROL/DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES
All samples will be placed on ice in a dedicated cooler in order to maintain an
approximately 4 C temperature. The direct push rig shall be decontaminated in a dilute
Alconox (or equivalent non-phosphate soap and water) between direct borings.
Dedicated pre cleaned sampling containers shall be used in order to contain soil and
ground water samples. All drill cutting, sample consumables, rinsate and
decontamination fluids shall be properly contained. One field duplicate sample will be
collected simultaneously with a standard sample from the same source under identical
conditions into a separate sample container. The duplicated sample is treated
Page 13 of 27
